Are you looking for a laptop to play League of Legends? Are you fed up with your current pc that is drumming and preventing you from scaling the ladder? You are in the right place.
Unlike other high-end games, LoL is pretty well optimized for running on laptops with decent specifications. In other words, unlike the latest Assassin’s Creeds, to play League of Legends, you will not need to ruin yourself.
I’ve compiled for you a list of 5 best laptops for League of Legends in optimal conditions while avoiding flying your wallet. By viewing that article, you can get the best keyboard and mouse for League of Legends game.
But before going directly to the heart of the subject, a little analysis is needed so that you can understand the reasons behind the choice of each of these laptops.
With hundreds of gaming laptops currently available on the market, it can be difficult to decide which one to choose.
- Are you going to opt for one with more RAM?
- The best graphics card?
- A bigger screen?
- Or the one with the backlit keyboard?
Let’s analyze this together.

1 – THE PROCESSOR
If the gear was a team, the processor would be your mid and your carrier and you should treat it as such.
To put it simply, any latest-generation i5 processor is enough for League of Legends. But if you want a more powerful laptop, you will need an i7 processor, probably i7-6500U or 6700HQ.
These models do not limit LoL framerate and keep the game perfectly smooth during team battles or when your laptop is running another process in the background.
2 – THE GRAPHICS CARD
If you want a gaming laptop, then one of the most important components will be the graphics card. It’s the AD Carry.
Every year, NVidia, the current market leader, is launching a new generation of graphics cards. Some of these cards are up to 50% faster than their predecessors.
Things are changing very quickly and the course for running games like League of Legends has been long overdue. From the perspective of the economy, it would be more interesting to look at the previous generation of graphics cards rather than invest in recent graphics cards.
You will always be able to launch League of Legends with a good SPF and therefore in all fluency, without it costing you an arm. On the other hand, if you want to keep your laptop going, and expect to play other games in the near future, it’s a good idea to invest in a next-generation graphics card.

3 – THE MEMORY RAM
RAM is one of the other important components for evaluating the performance of a pc. The more RAM you have, the more information you can store in this fast access memory. Having many programs open at a time can consume your RAM and cause slowdowns. By having more RAM and no program open in the background, you will notice an immediate improvement in performance in the game.
For a computer capable of running League of Legends, the minimum amount of RAM is 4 GB. To be really safe and run some programs in the background without it rowing (lol), I recommend you to go up to 8 GB.

4 – THE SIZE OF THE SCREEN
Depending on the size of the laptop you are looking for, most gaming laptops start at 14 inches and go up to 18.4 inches.
If you plan to carry your laptop with you, you can opt for small screen size. A laptop with a smaller screen is usually lighter and does not contain as many components.
On the other hand, if you want to take full advantage of the gaming experience, you have to go for a bigger screen. If you already have a desktop, you’re probably used to a bigger screen. Larger screens allow you to immerse yourself in the Summoner’s Fault and get the best experience.
For reasons of comfort/portability, if I have some advice to give you, it would be: never go below 14 inches and never go above 17 inches.

5 – WEIGHT
If you plan to carry your laptop often with you, like going to pee for a LAN party for example, then you should consider the weight.
High-end gamer laptops are usually extremely heavy due to embedded components. Some weighing almost 5 kilograms, if you have never set foot in a gym then pay attention. Your spine will thank you.
Although high-end gaming laptops offer better performance, for games like League of Legends, it’s definitely overkilling. Smaller, lighter laptops can work very well. In this guide, we will not go above the bar of 3 kilograms.
After this long introduction, let’s tackle the basics now.
Without further ado, here are the top 5 best laptops for League of Legends.

In addition to this article, I had the idea to share with you some tips to boost the FPS of League of Legends.
Reducing FPS on League of Legends: The Guide
Did you know that you are able to install custom maps in League Of Legends? Yes, you do not have to play all the time on the classic Summoner’s Fault!
Not only that, but you can also install Custom Champion Skins, Custom Minion Skins and even Custom Monster Skins if you wish.
The first effective way to increase the FPS in your League of Legends game is to install a Custom Rift Skin. Many people are unaware of this, but the classic Summoner’s Fault card pumps out a lot of notebook resources, which dramatically lowers your SPF.
Even if you set the video settings to “Very Low”, there are still a lot of things that decrease your FPS. That’s why you need a “Low Definition” Summoner’s Fault Card! How to do? Follow the guide!
Let’s start with the first method.
First, you will need to download a program called Wooxy. Wooxy is a completely free program.
After downloading the program, you can proceed to the second step.
Now go to the Mapskins website and download the map of your choice. Try the different resolutions until you find the one that suits you best in terms of comfort.
2 – Edit the Game.cfg
Did you know that in your League Of Legends folder, you will find inside a game.cfg file that you can modify according to your tastes?
If you understand everything that is displayed in the game.cfg file, you can improve the appearance of League Of Legends or lighten it. You can also increase your FPS if you edit the game.cfg file correctly.
This second method is pretty tricky so follow these steps very carefully. If you damage your League Of Legends game for any reason, I will not take any responsibility for your actions. But you can always contact me if you encounter an obstacle or if you want me to guide you in the process.
Let’s start now with the second method of this guide.
First, you will need to find your “League Of Legends” folder which is in a “Riot Games” folder. Then click on the “Config” folder and you should be able to locate the game.cfg file.
Find the file and right-click on it. Then choose “Edit”. Then scroll down until you see the “Performance” section. Replace the text you see there with the text below.
[Performance] ShadowsEnabled = 0
CharacterInking = 0
EnableHUDAnimations = 0
PerPixelPointLighting = 0
EnableParticleOptimizations = 1
BudgetOverdrawAverage = 10

BudgetTriangleCount = 300000
BudgetDrawCallCount = 1000
EnableGrassSwaying = 0
EnableFXAA = 0
AdvancedShader = 0

Full3DModeEnabled = 1
AutoPerformanceSettings = 0
ShadowQuality = 0
CharacterQuality = 0
GraphicsSlider = 0
EffectsQuality = 0
EnvironmentQuality = 0
3 – Bid the options
I’m sure most of you already know that you can adjust your League Of Legends settings to suit your needs.
Most of you, if not all, have probably already done this. So I’m not going to spend a lot of time on it.
Put all video settings on very low and disable all FPS pumps such as anti-aliasing and shadows and you will see your FPS climb significantly!
Here, I hope this guide has been helpful! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me questions. Have fun and see you soon on the fields of justice!
